Laura Jean was a Statewide Grassroots Organizer for the Oregon Right to Know campaign, working to label foods produced through genetic engineering. She was inspired to continue to work on strengthening the local food system in Oregon through that campaign, and through helping other organizations and campaigns around the state protecting farmers, our lands, and our communities from GE seed and pesticide contamination.
She now works as the Social Media Manager for Cultivate Oregon, and is dedicated to educating others about regenerative and organic agriculture, the importance of protecting our local seed diversity, and supporting local farmers in order to ensure a resilient local food system.
